I usually am okay with coconut but found that the base with coconut milk were much more overpowering that I couldn't taste much of the actual flavors -- passion fruit cacao and the mango sticky rice. I also tried the strawberry daifuku and beyond the mochi, I didn't get much more than that. Went again the day after with another friend and had the ube crunch and this was solid, although the crunch melted fast in the humid heat of this week. I also got the lilikoi passion fruit and it was refreshing and tasted like a mango Chile Mexican sorbet. My favorite was the kaya toast. It had a reminiscent flavor to a nutty pistachio. I definitely want to come back to try more of their flavors. **also the other downside, there aren't many seatings available for wanderlust and the back tables are for pie hole. I ended up getting something to sit back there. ”

“ UBE MALT! Best flavor! If you love ube flavored things, this is spot on. Legit tastes like ube. Not much else to say about that matter. I remember coming here when the owners just started. They were a local new business, just introducing these new exotic flavors to the valley. Now they're all over Los Angeles and lines are out the door at every location! The hype is real the quality speaks for itself. I used to buy pints of their icecream because my roommates and family members could never stop asking about it. I even recently had friends have them cater their ice-cream at their wedding! Make sure to keep this place in mind if you're anywhere in LA craving ice cream. Search for the closest wanderlust and I'm sure it'll be right around the corner for you! ”

“ Since October is Filipino American History Month, this Pinay-owned creamery is pulling out all of the stops with limited edition Filipino flavours! The brown butter sans rival with a brown butter cone was SO GOOD. Seriously, one of the best ice-cream experiences of my life. It was so delicious that I went back into the store to beg the employees to open a location in Toronto. ”

“ Wanderlust has become my favorite ice cream place (with multiple locations in the valley) thanks to the Tres leches pandan and Ube ice creams (and their respective cones flavors)!! So delicious!! They also sell pints to go. The options are so diverse and unique (for example, they have a Mango & sticky rice flavor which tastes exactly like the dessert). Very refreshing and I enjoyed the jellies but wished the pieces were a bit bigger. It's a seasonal flavor so go try it out! Service was fast and I loved the inside decor. Cannot go wrong with this classic flavor. And they didn't. Brown Bread & Butter. Delicious! If you like your desserts with small bursts of sugary sweetness, this is perfect. Stout Chocolate w/ Whiskey Caramel. If you like desserts with a small kick, this is delicious. Hubby doesn't like liquor flavors, but I don't mind it al all and this is a great flavor combination. Kinder. When in doubt, the kids get Kinder and they are always happy they get it. Our server got himself out of his break to patiently serve us. How cool is he? ”
